What is new is not only the changed style of the now very large and dominant hull window area. The Bavaria Voyager 45 is aimed specifically at investors and owners who want to operate a yacht in professional charter management. The German series manufacturer has taken the concept of the Cruiser 45/46, with around 1100 units built one of the most frequently built charter yachts ever, as a basis and further optimised it for tough charter use. The yacht is not available for sale, but can only be purchased through selected partners as part of purchase charter programmes, such as the Nautic Alliancean association of nine companies from the charter industry or the retail trade Imex in Großenbrode. Both companies have already stocked up, according to the shipyard.
With an overall length of 14.52 metres (including bowsprit) and a width of 4.35 metres, the Voyager 45 offers a generous amount of space. The draught is 2.18 metres and the displacement is 12,254 kilograms. The construction by Farr Yacht Design has already proven itself in the Cruiser 46. The auxiliary drive is a Volvo Penta D2-60 diesel engine with 60 hp. The total sail area is 98 square metres and CE certification has been granted for categories A10 and B16.
The tank capacity is remarkable: the fuel tank holds 180 litres, while three tanks with a total of 535 litres are available for fresh water - significantly more than on comparable yachts of this size and an important factor for longer charter trips.
With the Voyager 45, Bavaria has integrated numerous extras into the standard equipment that would otherwise be at extra cost. These include a bow thruster, a more powerful anchor winch with 1,500 watts of power, winches on the coaming and a bowsprit for gennaker or code zero. The cockpit and bathing platform are covered in teak as standard. Bimini and sprayhood in titanium grey are also included.
Bavaria has opted for a light-coloured "Nordic Oak" design in the interior. The cabins are equipped with comfort mattresses, while a flex bulkhead system in the foredeck allows the conversion from four to three cabins or vice versa. The standard configuration comprises four cabins and three heads, one of which has a separate shower. A Fusion entertainment system is installed for entertainment. The cooling facilities have also been designed to meet charter requirements with a stainless steel cooling system with two drawers plus toploader. The boat costs 380,800 euros.
