Features: Angled stern, self-tacking jib and lots of potential
The Hanse 301 was the third evolutionary stage of the 291, which marked the start of the shipyard in Greifswald. Today it is a popular second-hand ship

The Riss is based on the Swedish Aphrodite 29 and was launched in 1997 under the direction of Hanseyachts, then the Greifswald Yacht Centre. With a relatively narrow stern and sloping stem, the ship cannot deny its age. However, the sailing characteristics are still up to date, as the YACHT used boat test showed.

The ship sails excellently and is very agile. In addition to its high potential, it has above-average manoeuvrability. The ship wants to be reefed quite early, which on the other hand means that there is enough sail area for little wind.
Most of the weak points are also typical of other yachts: coloured gelcoat can be faded, as can the furniture. The anchor locker may be leaking. A buyer should also look for signs of running aground in the keel area. A specific feature of the boat is that the engine is installed quite close together, which may have hindered regular maintenance. The system should therefore be examined carefully.
A Hanse 301 is available on the used boat market for 30000 to 40000.
