600 sailors on 55 old ships from 6 nations - these are the impressive figures for this year's "Fyn Rundt for Bevaringsværdige Sejlskibe", an event that is celebrated like a folk festival by our northern neighbours - and this year at six destinations.

In the end, it was a triumph for the Svendborg-based Marstal schooner "Aron". Because, of course, the aged ships were not sailed from Vejle via Middelfahrt, Assens and Faaborg to Marstal and finally to the destination harbour of Svendborg just for fun, but as part of day races.

All weather

The participants experienced the entire spectrum of weather conditions - from completely calm to heavy rain and fresh breezes from various directions.

Movement with frying pans

The leg from Faaborg to Marstal in particular will be remembered by many. In a complete calm, the boats drifted for hours on the starting line while the crews developed creative methods for getting around. Dinghies and even floats were used as well as paddles and frying pans.

International participation

As always, the Fyn Rundt 2025 was not a purely Danish event - ships from a total of five nations took part this time. The festively decorated harbours along the route provided the perfect setting for encounters between the participants and numerous spectators.

To be continued

The next Fyn Rundt for Bevaringsværdige Sejlskibe will take place in the 30th calendar week of next year.
