A new addition to the range of small, cuddly gaff cutters from England. The Shrimper 21 can be trailered and is ideal as a touring boat

The little sister Shrimper 19 is a real success story. In 35 years, the Cornish Crabbers shipyard in the English county of Cornwall has already built more than 1130 of them. The cute gaff cutters are a typical sight in almost every harbour and sailing area, especially in England. And the trailerable Shrimper 19s are a popular regatta class and always bring large fields to the starting line.

Now the traditionalists at Cornish Crabbers are announcing the next larger model in the Shrimper series. In keeping with the shipyard line, the 21-foot boat naturally also comes as a cutter with a steep wooden gaff rig and jib boom. The Shrimper 21 will also have a long keel with integral centreboard and a retractable rudder blade. This means that the new boat will also be perfectly trailerable and - importantly for tidal waters - can dry out without any restrictions or problems.

The 6.40 metre long (7.57 metres including jib boom) and 2.40 metre wide gaffer is built as a GRP construction and can be equipped with either an outboard motor for towing or a nine hp built-in diesel with shaft drive. Below deck there is a simple but cosy interior with four full-size berths and a chemical toilet.

At the current exchange rate, the price for the shrimper is 42,800 euros including 19 per cent VAT. Cornish Crabbers is marketed in Germany by the company English Cutter Yachts represented by Frank R. Dierkes in Gaißach in southern Germany.
