The festival is regarded as the highlight of the Mediterranean regattas and attracts at least as many spectators as participants. The field of more than 300 participating yachts is not just made up of the classic beauties for which the event is known. Maxi racers and wallys also characterise the scene.

This year, for the first time, the beauty show was supported by German car manufacturer BMW. German professional sailor Markus Wieser took the helm of the gaff cutter "Veronique" as brand ambassador, while record-breaking sailor Loïck Peyron was on hand to represent BMW France.

We have put together some of the best impressions for you in our gallery.

The once dreamy fishing village on the Côte d'Azur has been a summer residence for the European jet set since the 1960s. In October, however, it is already in hibernation. It regularly wakes up again for the Les Voiles de Saint-Tropez regatta. The harbour is filled to capacity, the streets are overflowing, the shops are open until late in the evening and restaurants can only be booked in advance
