There will be a mixed programme of regattas and squadron trips along the coast between Apenrade and Kiel as well as a varied supporting programme ashore.
The night regatta "The Run" will kick things off on the evening of Friday 14 June with a star-shaped route from various locations to Apenrade in Denmark. The start will be in Fehmarnsund, Strander Bucht, off Schleimünde, at the exit of Flensburg Fjord and, for the first time, in Juelsminde, Denmark.
On Saturday, the more than 200 participating yachts will arrive there during the course of the day, and an appropriate atmosphere can be expected on land when they are welcomed with live music on the quay.
After a welcome party on Saturday evening, the fleet will set sail together on Sunday to head for Dyvig either as part of a squadron race or a timed race. The small harbour in front of the local seaside hotel will then be the venue for an evening event with a buffet, music and dancing.
On Monday, there will be various lectures, a hike, water sports activities and another evening event.
On Tuesday, the fleet leaves to sail either east or west of Alsen to Høruphav, again in the form of a squadron trip or as a regatta and again to celebrate there in the evening.
On Wednesday, there will be a regatta to Flensburg and back, followed by lectures on the programme. A land programme is planned for participants who do not wish to sail.
A sea regatta will start on Thursday to Kappeln, where regattas will take place on the Schlei and off Schleimünde on Friday. As an alternative, the organisers are offering a land tour to manor houses and churches in Angeln.
Finally, on Saturday, the classic fleet will set sail for the race to Kiel, where the traditional rendezvous of the classics will take place in the evening as the Kiel Week kick-off for the scene.
