Classic: "Gudrun III" returns
The former training ship from Glücksburg is back

The yacht, built in Sweden in 1918, has not been sailed for almost 30 years. Two enthusiasts have now had her put back to sea at great expense by the Glückstadt yacht yard.

It was almost an obligation for the two sailing friends. When they heard that the "Gudrun III" needed help, they didn't have to think twice. Understandable when you have the opportunity to talk to both of them on board.

Many Baltic sailors still know the ship as a training yacht of the Hanseatic Yacht School of the DHH. The memories of the new owners go back further.

You can read all about the resurrection of the character ship in the current issue of YACHT.
