Yacht tests have been an integral part of YACHT since 1965. Over the past 60 years, our editors have scrutinised almost 2,000 boats - from keel bolts, rudder quadrants and jibs through to sails, railing supports, mattresses and quiet rooms.
No other water sports magazine in the world goes to such lengths when it comes to the neutral assessment of a boat. Even though this type of testing is extremely time-consuming and costly, it is part of YACHT's DNA.
Boats are complex structures consisting of hundreds of components that have to harmonise perfectly for a model to ultimately fulfil its purpose. And safety always comes first, of course!
Sailing, measuring, evaluating: We provide orientation
Once again this year, we were able to sail, measure and assess numerous exciting new models for you. In times when prices for new boats are higher than ever, orientation is particularly important.
We also want to offer you this with this special edition, in which we have summarised a selection of the detailed tests from 2024. You can find some of the models at boot in Düsseldorf in January. You are also welcome to stop by the YACHT in Hall 10. We look forward to your visit.
