Fountaine Pajot Astréa 42
With the Astréa 42, the French shipyard is launching a completely new development that is almost unrivalled in terms of size. First pictures

There is a huge choice in the 42-foot monohull segment, but not in the multihull segment. Only the Bali 4.3 and the Lagoon 42 are directly comparable in terms of length and space. With its dynamic hull lines, negative stem and overhanging saloon roof, the new boat fits in smoothly with the shipyard's latest designs, the Lucia 40 and the Saona 47.

The Astréa 42 will have the features of the larger boat, such as the electric bathing platform, the huge sliding door that separates the saloon from the cockpit and the large hull windows. The catamaran is available with four cabins and four toilets or with two cabins on the port side and a master cabin with a huge bathroom on the starboard side.

The Astréa 42 (previously known as the New 42) was recently presented, christened and tested by YACHT at the cat show in La Grande Motte. Report coming soon, first pictures here.
