Fountaine Pajot New 47: More space on deck and a lowerable bathing platform
Touring cat with many surprises: Fountaine Pajot New 47.
The new 47-footer from Fountaine Pajot in France is the new sensation on the touring catamaran market. The first photos from the exclusive YACHT test

Fountaine Pajot's new model is still sailing under its working title New 47. International Multihull Fair From 19 to 23 April in La Grande-Motte (France), the correct name will be announced. It will be interesting to see.

The concept of the 14-metre catamaran from Fountaine Pajot features some very exciting innovations, such as a hydraulically lowerable bathing platform on which the dinghy can also be stowed and lowered into the water at the touch of a button. Another new feature is a very spacious lounge area on the upper deck.

The layout below deck is also unusual: In addition to the particularly spacious owner's version (Maestro) with three cabins and three heads, a variant (Quintet) with five cabins and four bathrooms is available as an alternative and for the charter sector. In this case, one of the two aft cabins is accessible via a separate entrance from the outside cockpit. A version with four cabins (quartet) is not available for this model.

The YACHT test editorial team was the first magazine ever to be on board the New 47, and the comprehensive report will be published in YACHT issue 10/2017, which will be available from 26 April.

Until then, the first photos from the exclusive test are available here in the YACHT gallery.
