Deceptive. Viewed from the side, the Neel 51 looks like a cat. Only a closer look reveals the trimaran
The Neel 51 has been voted European Yacht of the Year. The trimaran impresses in the test, and not just because of the space it offers. Download the test in PDF format

The Neel Trimarans concept is as special as it is exclusive: more space and more room to live on three hulls combined with the advantages of a trimaran under sail. The idea of shipyard founder Eric Bruneel has been a hit. Twelve of the new Neel 51 have already been sold. Now the shipyard in La Rochelle has to double its production capacity to fulfil the orders.

There are 107 square metres of living space on board the Neel 51, which is as much as in an average-sized four-room flat. No other multihull boat of comparable size can offer as much space and room on board. The room layout on board over two floors is as exciting as it is unusual.

And: In the YACHT test, the Neel 51 proves to be a very good and powerful sailor, which as a trimaran is also particularly comfortable in swell.

You can read the detailed test report on the Neel 51 in YACHT, issue 6/2018. The magazine is available in the DK shop, or you can download the test directly via the link below.
