The Comar shipyard from Italy wants to build on earlier successes with timelessly beautiful and elegant cracks. The look is right, as is the technical basis. However, the test revealed a lack of detail that didn't need to be there.
Even in the tamer of the two versions, the Comet 36 is a performance-orientated boat. Free of any formulaic constraints, it is aimed at a clientele that has long been addressed by Comfortina and more recently by Dufour: Sailors who are not primarily concerned with the dimensions of the berths or the saloon, but rather with the trimmability of the rig and the sensitivity of the rudder.
The facilities of the beautifully designed but rather expensive Italian (price ready to sail according to YACHT definition approx. 140,000 euros) are unquestionably good. Only the finishing touches are missing. This was shown by details such as the inadmissibly mounted position lights, the winches placed out of reach of the helmsman or sharp edges in the interior fittings.
