HanseYachts is subjecting the 445 model to extensive further development. The update can be seen at the trade fairs in Hamburg and Düsseldorf

After just two years on the market, the yacht builders in Greifswald have taken on board the suggestions of owners, dealers and the press and given the Hanse 445 (YACHT test no. 1/2011) a comprehensive facelift. As part of the facelift, the successful 445 model has now also adopted the ideas from Hanse's reorganisation of the cruising line.

The most striking new feature on deck is the completely redesigned companionway. The cut-out is now longer and the stairway down is much flatter. The steering columns have been remodelled and now also serve as support consoles for all navigation instruments and control elements. With this, Hanse wants to further optimise its "Easy Sailing" concept. The 445 will also have a different rig. The ship will now be equipped with high-quality mast and boom profiles from quality manufacturer Seldén. In addition to the standard self-tacking jib, a conventional genoa with 106 per cent overlap is also possible. And the shipyard now offers an L-shaped keel variant as an alternative to the standard T-keel.

For the area below deck, several and larger windows provide a light-flooded interior. In particular, the aft cabins, which previously lacked light, are now brighter and more cosy. And thanks to the repositioning of the generator, the technical duct between the two aft cabins can be narrower. This means that the berths in the aft cabins are now around 30 centimetres wider, a considerable gain in terms of comfort. Otherwise, the previous layout remains the same with the option of one (owner's version) or two cabins (charter version) in the foredeck.

The new edition of the Hanse 445 will be on display as a novelty at the hanseboot Hamburg (26 October to 3 November 2013) and boot Düsseldorf (18 to 26 January 2014) trade fairs. The new 445 will be offered at a new price of 197,420 euros (basic version incl. VAT), which is around 10,000 euros more than the previous model.
