DESCRIPTION
The Boström B31 MKII is a cruising sailboat designed by renowned Swedish naval architect Leif Boström. It is highly regarded for its strength, performance, and durability. The boat has an excellent reputation as an offshore cruiser for sailors seeking safety and reliability on long and demanding passages.
With an overall length of 9.50 meters, it offers an ideal balance between cruising performance and onboard comfort, without compromising the stability and robustness typical of Scandinavian-built yachts.
The boat sails regularly in Mallorca and is fully prepared for both coastal and offshore sailing, with numerous upgrades and extras installed by the current owner.
She sails like a true offshore yacht: very stable, smooth through the water (no slamming), performs well from 5 knots, and reefing is not required until 20+ knots of wind.
The boat is fully set up for single-handed sailing.
Currently berthed at Real Club Náutico de Palma, with the possibility to continue the transferable rental berth.
Polish flag, VAT paid. No annual Spanish inspection (ITB) required, although the boat complies with Spanish safety equipment standards.
The yacht meets Lloyd’s specifications and is classified as Category A – Ocean-going vessel under European regulations.
Engine serviced annually, hauled out every year for antifouling.
Includes original plans and shipyard documentation.

⛵ Performance & Build Quality
The Boström B31 is a yacht with outstanding seaworthiness. Its V-shaped bow and 1.65m draft allow it to cut through waves smoothly, providing comfort during long passages.
She is fast, stable, and capable of handling rough conditions, including Baltic-type seas. With favorable winds, cruising speeds of 7–8 knots are easily achievable.
The hull was designed for extreme strength — approximately 3 cm thick in reinforced areas — and built to withstand harsh conditions. The cast iron keel is integrated deeply into the hull structure for maximum strength.
SPECIFICATIONS Length overall: 9.35 – 9.50 m Beam: 2.90 m Draft: 1.65 m Displacement: approx. 3,500 kg Sail area: approx. 30–35 m²
The Boström B31 stands out for its robust fiberglass construction, offshore capability, and safe handling in demanding conditions. It is a true ocean-going yacht designed for sailors who value reliability and seaworthiness over modern trends.
