Webinar: Galicia and Portugal - the underestimated beauty of the Atlantic coast

The number of German sailors in Galicia and Portugal has been increasing, especially since the coronavirus. Some are on a long voyage and are only making a stopover, while others are moving their ships from the increasingly crowded harbours of the Baltic Sea or the Netherlands. These areas are also ideal for winter storage, not least because of the excellent flight connections to Germany and the excellent value for money.

The webinar presents the area from La Coruña in the north to Gibraltar in the south, through the Rías to the Algarve and Atlantic Andalusia. Entertaining pictures and videos inspire you to dream, while attractive anchorages and harbours are presented for planning a cruise.

We also address the risks of an orca attack that have existed since 2020. In the recent past, sailing boats have been repeatedly damaged, especially their rudders. We show how you can get the best possible information before starting your trip to avoid encounters with the killer whales and what you should do if the marine mammals appear next to you.
