Diamond knots - learn why they are part of the standard repertoire and the best way to tie them in our webinars
Rope technology has developed enormously in recent years. What used to require massive stainless steel shackles or ends as thick as a thumb is nowadays enough with feather-light soft shackles made from Dyneema and eight-millimetre lines made from core-sheath braiding. In two practical webinars, ropes expert and non-fiction author Egmont Friedl explains how to optimise the use and handling of modern ropes

And this is what awaits you at the events that we organise in cooperation with market leaders Liros Rope Solutions offer:

Thursday, 8.12.2022- Rigging, part 1:
Which material for which purpose? Plus: the most important knots for sailors

This webinar forms the basis and provides you with up-to-date basic knowledge that can help you save hundreds of euros when replacing mooring lines, halyards or sheets for cruising boats, for example. You will also learn well-known and less well-known but extremely helpful knots and how to make them in a matter of seconds.

  • Splicing tools, e.g. suitable splicing needles or Selma fids or similar tools, as well as a sharp knife, cutting mat, metre rule, hot cutter or lighter

On www.emf-marine.de you can order 2 metres of Dyneema line and a suitable splicing needle as a "TWS kit" for the webinar.
