As in the previous two years, blue water sailors Bert and Marlene Frisch from Cuxhaven will host the evenings, which will always focus on a different topic that is of particular interest to long-distance sailors. Guests include speakers and experts from the blue water scene.
It starts with situations that nobody wants to experience:"Security, piracy and weapons on board" is the topic next Wednesday, the9 November. Bert and Marlene Frisch are then in conversation with Chief Superintendent Jörg Flackus from the Piracy Prevention Centre of the Federal Police Sea in Neustadt.
Questions such as: What to do when encountering refugee boats? Where are the most vulnerable areas today? What does it mean to take a weapon on board? How can you protect your yacht? What options are there for passive protection against burglary and dinghy theft?
