Small fishing villages, quiet shores, but also beautiful cities such as Geneva and Montreux are the stops along the way. A cruise on Lac Léman promises a very special sailing experience.
The water is clear and green, the scenery magnificent. Those who sail on Lake Geneva can enjoy rather unusual impressions. Where else do you have such high mountains constantly in front of your bow? The Alps are just a short distance from the shores, with Mont Blanc towering to the south and clearly recognisable on a clear day. Down on the water, however, the sailing conditions are marvellous.
Small fishing villages, marinas, jetties for swimming and small enchanted side arms take the sailor to new corners again and again. Sometimes they glide past the old walls of historic moated castles, then vineyards and old mountain railways run alongside the boat. Lac Léman is a small sailing Mecca. Many harbours offer good infrastructure, and the Geneva Yacht Club, home of the Société Nautique de Genève, has already hosted the Americas Cup twice. Geneva is the home of Alinghi.
Switzerland and France at their best: A team set off on a cruise in the 100-year-old classic "Melita" and discovered the most beautiful spots and stops along the entire shore of the lake for YACHT.
