The "Boundless Bottenvik" project is being jointly implemented by Sweden and Finland and aims to strengthen water sports in the region. An important part of this is the website Visitbothnianbay. It summarises information from the municipalities and tourism associations. An associated blog presents interesting excursion destinations and special natural and cultural features along the Swedish and Finnish coast.

A harbour guide was also developed as part of the project PDF document developed. Over 100 harbours and anchorages in the Bothnian Bay are described there. Even if the information is not always complete - measured against the nautical literature available to date - the brochure is a clear gain.
