One of the most visually impressive marina projects on the Italian coast in recent years is the Portopiccolo harbour in Sistiana, located between Monfalcone and Trieste. Built at the foot of a steep mountain slope, a holiday village settlement rises up like an amphitheatre, which also includes a five-star hotel and a spa. The modern marina offers 121 berths and an upscale tourist infrastructure on land with a pool on the hillside, beach club, restaurants, wellness centre, shops and much more.

Owners who station their boat there on a long-term basis receive discounted prices for the use of the facility, and there are currently still permanent berths available. The harbour is affordable for guest sailors, with daily berths for a ten-metre yacht costing 60 euros. Mooring is at floating jetties.
