Charter portals on the internet entice you with cheap yachts for your holiday cruise. However, some offers are only favourable at first glance

In times when some people even order their groceries online, yacht charter portals on the internet are also booming. Unfortunately for the established agencies, who generally still have offices and are present at all the major trade fairs - in other words, who still offer their customers sound advice.

Even if you know exactly what you want, you shouldn't rush into chartering a yacht online. At the very least, you should make sure you know who you are actually doing business with. A glance at the legal notice can sometimes lead to surprises. For example, if the website operator is not actually based in Germany, despite having a German-language booking page. This can lead to a lot of problems for the charterer.
