Sailing on the Lower Weser
The Lower Weser is a thoroughly attractive area, also for sailors. We present the most beautiful places, harbours and anchorages

There are around 65 kilometres of river between Bremerhaven and Bremen that are well worth discovering. And you can even do it by sailing boat. If necessary, even against the wind. Just not against the current, as it is usually too strong for you to enjoy sailing against it.

With the right tide, on the other hand, the river trip quickly becomes a very fast-paced pleasure. And it is always varied. If only because of the constantly changing landscape to the right and left of the river. Wasteland here, industry there. Here fields and meadows, there small and large farmsteads, villages and towns. Plus a few river islands, sands and tributaries.

Area expert Stefan Schorr, whose sailing home has been the Lower Weser for years, describes the most beautiful destinations, now available to readin the new YACHT (issue 7/2016, available now at newsagents and as a digital edition).
