The south between Split and Dubrovnik is one of the most beautiful stretches of the Adriatic coast. Which harbours should definitely be visited

No other Mediterranean destination has been as popular as Croatia over the last 10 years. No wonder, the mix is simply perfect: thousands of islands with dreamy anchor bays, small sleepy villages with small restaurants, or magnificent old towns such as Dubrovnik, Trogir or Korcula.

These town harbours in the region have a very special charm. With partly palm-lined promenades, great old buildings and cosy harbours that are not too big, they are in a class of their own.
But their large number sometimes makes it difficult for the skipper to choose: which harbour is a real highlight, can you get one of the few berths and what should you definitely not miss seeing on site?
To make this decision easier for crews travelling in the south, area guide author Bodo Müller has selected his 10 favourite destinations for YACHT and presents them in detail. Now in the new YACHT No. 18.
