The speakers include 14 circumnavigators, five of whom are Cape Horn sailors. This makes the seminar a first-class opportunity to learn from the impressively described long-distance sailing experiences of Bobby Schenk and other true professionals, gathered over decades.
In addition to Martin Birkhoff, the former chairman of the Trans Ocean Association, Kirsten Neuschäfer, the winner of the Golden Globe Race 2022-2023, will also be among the speakers.
With his blue water seminar, Schenk developed an event many years ago that has become a real model for success. More than 3000 prospective long-distance sailors have attended Schenk's courses. And a whole series of participants in earlier events have since been on successful blue water cruises themselves or even sailed around the world.
Bobby Schenk's 19th blue water seminar will take place on 25 and 26 October 2025 at the Hanseatic Yacht School in Glücksburg. No previous knowledge is required, only enthusiasm for the subject of long-distance sailing. Participation costs 230 euros, and 190 euros for accompanying persons.
