The DSV's sailing cruise is entering its second round. Following the premiere of a squadron cruise in early summer 2025, in which a fleet of up to eleven owner-operated boats sailed together from Kiel to Helgoland under the DSV flag and took part in the legendary North Sea Week, the association is organising the second joint cruise for its cruising sailors in summer 2026. This time, they will be sailing from Kiel-Schilksee across the Baltic Sea to Warnemünde from 5 to 13 July. The participating yachts and their crews should arrive in Warnemünde in time for the start of the 88th Warnemünde Week. The trip is open to all registered cruising and leisure sailors from DSV clubs.
At the start of the trip, all participating boats will meet in Kiel-Schilksee, where they will first visit the association's national base before casting off the following day and sailing to Bagenkop on the Danish island of Langeland. From there, the journey continues to Burg/Burgstaaken on Fehmarn and then to Kühlungsborn, before the final leg takes them directly to Warnemünde. The daily stages are between approx. 12 and 35 nautical miles long.
After arriving in Warnemünde, the programme includes guided tours of the new sports school of the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern State Sports Association and the DSV junior performance base. Alternatively, the participants can use the day to visit Warnemünde or Rostock at their leisure. On 11 July, there will be a regatta from Warnemünde to Kühlungsborn, followed by a regatta party. All boats will travel back (or further) individually.
The DSV cruise is open to all cruising and leisure sailors registered with the association and those from a DSV club. It is also possible to take part in only part of the trip. The cost per participating yacht is 499 euros for a start in Kiel-Schilksee or 399 euros for participation in partial routes and always includes a crew of up to three people. For larger crews, a fee of 80 euros is charged per additional crew member. The costs include harbour dues in all ports of call and participation in the "Warnemünde - Kühlungsborn" regatta. Not included in the price are the costs for personal equipment, provisions and catering in the harbours as well as fuel.
Registration for the DSV-Törn 2026 is possible from 16 December 2025 via a form on the DSV website possible. The closing date for entries is 31 May 2026 and an initial online information event for all interested parties will take place on 16 December 2025 at 18:00. The DSV and the organisers of Warnemünde Week will present further details and answer questions at this event. The DSV's cruising and leisure sailing department will be happy to answer any questions at fahrtensegeln@dsv.org or 040 632009-30.
