The new restricted area is indicated by buoys in the following positions:
- S1 54°29,9243'N 011°14,7195'E
- S2 54°30,1708'N 011°15,0023'E
- S3 54°30,4173'N 011°15,2853'E
- S4 54°30,6912'N 011°14,5631'E
- S5 54°30,4258'N 011°14,3284'E
The BfS also states: "Positions S1) to S5) are marked by g/r/g light buoys (yellow, Blz. (2+1) 15s) with g. horizontal cross. Shipping is requested to keep sufficient distance. Increased attention, caution and consideration are requested. Adverse circumstances may make it necessary to change the date at short notice. Further information is available from Fehmarnbelt Traffic on VHF channel 68 on request."

The Danish "notice to mariner" must be observed in Danish waters. The Danish Maritime Authority Søfartsstyrelsen provides a very good overview of all current nautical information in Danish waters on an interactive map.
