Bridges in Denmark

Sønderborg, Kong Christian den X's Bro (Alssund)

So far, there has been no news from Denmark suggesting a change in the bridge opening times. The bridge will therefore be open every hour from 6.38 am to 9.38 pm as usual. On weekdays, only the 7.38 a.m. opening will be cancelled due to rush hour traffic. The bridge will open at 38 minutes past the hour. If the bridge keeper deems it necessary, he can also open the bridge one minute after the hour. However, this is also not possible at 7.01 a.m. and 8.01 a.m. due to rush hour traffic.

Nykøbing, Kong Frederik den IX's Bro (Guldborgsund)

The bridge will be properly manned again from the first of April. Prior to this, a request to open the bridge must be made in advance by telephone to the bridge keeper. From the first of April to the end of May and in September, the bridge can be crossed between 7 am and 7 pm. The bridge can be opened on request by telephone (04554823170) or VHF (Ch. 16/12). From June to the end of August, it even operates between 7am and 8pm. In October, the bridge is only open from 8 am to 6 pm.

Update 17 June 2024:

Construction work will be carried out until 24 June 2024. The two work vessels "MARION JACK" (XPI4141) and "HULMOSE TØF" (OUXB) can be reached on VHF channel 16. The bridge will be temporarily closed to shipping. The opening of the bridge can be coordinated with the contractor, who can be contacted on +45 22 70 53 89. Shipping is requested to show consideration when passing through.

Græshoppebroen Karrebaeksminde

From the beginning of April to the end of September, the "Grasshopper Bridge" is open every hour. These openings take place on the hour from 5 am to 9 pm.
