This weekend, sailors and other water sports enthusiasts can gear up for the coming season at the Berlin Exhibition Centre. Look, consult, buy, inform - all this is possible at the water sports fair "Boot & Fun" in Berlin up to and including Sunday evening, 14 November.
After the event had to be cancelled last year during the second lockdown due to the pandemic, around 700 exhibitors will once again be showcasing boats, equipment and services for four days. The trade fair organisers are relying on an admission concept with 3G regulations. Visitors must be tested, fully vaccinated or recovered. Wearing a mask is recommended, but not mandatory.
Hall 25 is dedicated to sailing. The refit area there is all about the maintenance of classic boats. Several sailmakers will be on site, as well as outfitters, class associations and clubs. Some shipyards such as Bente and Sunbeam have also brought their small cruisers to the Spree.
Delius Klasing Verlag, the parent company of YACHT and BOOTE magazines, will also be represented with a stand in Hall 25. The other exhibition areas will focus on motorboats and houseboats, paddle sports, fun sports and fishing.
Overall, Thursday, the first day of the trade fair, was quiet. However, exhibitors report that this is not unusual. Larger crowds are expected at the weekend.
The trade fair takes place in the Berlin Expo Centre City, the entrance is Messe Süd Jafféstraße. It is open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. until Sunday, 14 November 2021.
Tickets are only available at the Online shop available. The day ticket costs 17 euros, concessions only 10 euros. Multi-day tickets are available. Pre-registration for a specific visiting day takes place when purchasing.
