The new issue of YACHT magazine has been published and promises a wealth of exciting stories. The magazine covers a wide range of topics. From travel reports and tests to practical safety tips - the editorial team has once again put together a diverse mix.

Travelogues from Norway and the Caribbean

A highlight of the current issue is the travel report by photographer and author Nico Krauss, who explored the Sognefjord in Norway with his crew. Krauss not only describes the impressive sailing area, but also gives tips for interesting shore excursions. "In the realm of the trolls" is the title of the report and promises insights into an impressive mountain backdrop and spectacular nature experiences.

For fans of tropical climes, editor Fabian Boerger visited Antigua Sailing Week in the Caribbean. His report conveys the special atmosphere of this renowned regatta, where ambitious sailing and exuberant partying go hand in hand.

Tests and safety tips

On the technical side, YACHT presents a detailed test of the Hanse 590. The new flagship from the Greifswald shipyard was put through its paces by the editorial team. The focus was not only on the extensive equipment, but above all on the sailing characteristics of the 18-metre ship.

The safety tips compiled by the magazine are also an important topic for all sailors. From accident prevention and rescue equipment to first aid measures and firefighting, all relevant aspects are highlighted in order to minimise dangers on board.

Unusual perspectives

In addition to the classic sailing topics, the current issue of YACHT also offers some unusual perspectives. Editor Ursula Meer, for example, reports on her participation in a burial at sea - a topic that, according to the editorial team, concerns many sailors. The article sheds light on the legal and practical aspects of this special form of burial.

Another interesting article is dedicated to the topic of fishing from a sailing boat. The editors explain where and when you can catch which fish and give tips on the right equipment and technique.

Environmental protection and navigation

Environmental protection is not neglected in the new YACHT either. One article deals with the question of how navigation apps could contribute to the protection of seagrass beds in the future. This involves voluntary measures by water sports enthusiasts without strict bans.
