Anyone mooring in Heiligenhafen this week can enjoy virtuoso guitar sounds - with free admission! On board the sailing yacht "Neverland", guitarist and composer Claus Boesser-Ferrari will be giving free concerts in aid of the German Child Protection Association (DKSB). The concerts are part of the Charity tour the Dufour 382 Grand Large. With his fundraising campaign, the owner and volunteer employee of the DKSB, Klaus Wehle, is collecting funds for the child and youth helpline.
On Wednesday and Thursday of this week (3 and 4 September 2025), the "Neverland" will be moored on the promenade in the west of Heiligenhafen Marina in front of the "O'Marinheiro" restaurant. From 17:00 each day Claus Boesser-Ferrari to the guitar. On Friday, the "Neverland" sets course for Fehmarn, where the guitarist will perform on Saturday as part of the "Fehmarn Open Air Festival" will also be performing. The legendary festival, at which Jimi Hendrix played his last gig before his death, has been taking place since 1970 - free of charge and outdoors.

The free concerts are part of a fundraising campaign that Klaus Wehle and his "Neverland" have been organising regularly for several years. The first part of their cruises began in April and travelled around Denmark. "The Neverland donates 50 euros per harbour to a good cause," explains the skipper and volunteer for the Landau-SÜW child protection association. Along the way, he gives sailors tips and information on routes and harbours for their own trips and collects further donations for the DKSB. By the end of June, 2,150 euros had already been collected. The crew now hopes to reach this year's fundraising target of 5,000 euros with the following concerts.
Klaus Wehle would like to use the money raised to finance the training of a group of volunteers for the DKSB's child and youth helpline. At the nationwide "Number against grief"which can be reached on 116111, adolescents can talk about their worries anonymously and free of charge. Volunteer counsellors offer relief and develop solution strategies together with the callers. They are trained by a qualified psychologist in an eighty-hour course.
