In the first race of the RS500 World Championship on Lake Garda, class president Michiel Geerling from the Netherlands rounded the windward mark. His girlfriend Hilde van Susante set the gennaker - and read the words: "WIL JE MET MIJ TROUWEN" (Will you marry me?).

The answer was blown away by the wind, but the subsequent photo should be enough ...
