As probably one of the greatest vehicle designers of our time, Marc Lichte is constantly living in the future. While his latest creation, the Golf seven, celebrated its premiere in Berlin on 4 September, he has long been working on the next model. But the design genius is rarely available at the weekend. That's when he sails his X99 on the Kiel Fjord, drawing energy and inspiration for his new designs.
He likes clean lines and aesthetic design. Both in ships and in the cars he draws. We talked to him about his career as a car designer, which he owes to his irrepressible desire for the sea. And, of course, about the design of modern yachts, which he views from a special perspective.
