Around 200,000 visitors from over 100 countries travelled to the Rhine last year to discover the latest innovations and trends in the world of water sports. In 2026, boot will once again be the meeting place for water sports fans from all over the world.
Cruising sailors in particular will be delighted: Bavaria and Hanse are returning to the trade fair with sailing yachts after a one-year break. Bavaria will be showing the C42 and C46 in Hall 15, while Hanse will be presenting the 360, 460 and 590 in Hall 16. Lagoon will also be represented with yachts again, after the brand was only present with a stand without its own exhibits in 2025.
A total of 283 exhibitors with boats will be on site, including 52 providers in the sailing segment. The spectrum ranges from handy daysailers and performance-orientated cruisers to ocean-going luxury yachts.
In addition to the returnees, visitors can also look forward to some premieres in the sailing segment in Halls 15 and 16. Hallberg-Rassy, for example, will be presenting the new HR 370 before. The highlight at the Hanse-Yachts stand is the premiere of the new Hanse 360.
Things are also getting exciting at the French shipyards. Beneteau has new products in its Oceanis and First ranges, as do Dufour and Lagoon. A lot has happened in the multihull sector in general: the new Excess 13which Lagoon 38 and the trimaran Astus 26.5.
The Sportfishing Centre in Hall 3 will also be celebrating its premiere this year with a newly designed world of angling experiences. From specialised boats to high-tech equipment and expert advice, anglers will find everything in one place.
As in the previous year, the trade fair in Düsseldorf is increasingly trying to give sustainability topics a bigger stage alongside all the new products. The organisers' aim is to ensure greater visibility for projects and initiatives through presentations and workshops by experts.
The Blue Innovation Dock in Hall 10 serves as a discussion platform for political decision-makers and industry to minimise the industry's carbon footprint and promote innovative ideas. In addition, the "Love Your Ocean" stage in Hall 11 offers space for marine conservation initiatives. This is also where the "Ocean Tribute" award from the Prince Albert II Foundation and the German Ocean Foundation will be presented this year. Foundation and the German Ocean Foundation.
In 2026, there will once again be a variety of lectures and workshops on a wide range of water sports topics. For example, the sailing seminar exclusively for women will be celebrating its premiere. Experienced female sailors will share their experience, practical knowledge and personal experiences with the participants.
Hall 15 is home to the Shorthanded Offshore Community, the meeting place for all offshore fans. Here, up-and-coming talents and experienced skippers will provide insights into their projects - from the Mini 650 to the Class 30 OD. There will be exciting interviews to listen to, including one with Cornelius Eich from Team Malizia on 25 January. In the Refit Centre in Hall 11, issues relating to repair, maintenance and boat building will be addressed in seminars and workshops.
As last year, you will find the Delius Klasing Verlag stand in Hall 10, where colleagues from our water sports editorial team and our book publishing house will be on stand G18. The entire range of water sports literature awaits you here: from calendars and magazines to nautical charts and interesting Lectures by our experts. The lecture programme can be found on page 73. You will find the editors of our magazine SURF at the trend sports in Hall 17 (Stand D36).
Visitors who would like to leave the world of yachts and boats behind will also find a wide range of offers at boot. Halls 11 and 12 will make divers' hearts beat faster, with a four-metre deep diving tower and lots of accessories to try out. Surfers and paddlers are at home in Halls 14 and 17, whether pump foiling or windsurfing. This area of the trade fair not only hosts world championships, but also offers opportunities to take part. The Water Pixel World in Hall 11 gives filmmakers and photographers the opportunity to present their images and videos to a wide audience. Information on the latest film and photographic equipment is also available here.
A highlight for young captains awaits with the Sailing School in Hall 15: thanks to huge wind machines, children from the fourth grade can make their first attempts at sailing in a 25 x 10 metre pool. The stand operators will provide either dinghies or optis. The Classic Forum in Hall 14 is the right place for all sailors who prefer to work instead of getting wet. Under the motto "Classic meets modern", visitors big and small can lend a hand here. At the workbench, visitors can learn about traditional boatbuilding and put their manual skills to the test. In addition to other presentations, the "Private Maritime Auction" will also take place here on 24 January from 11 am. Original maritime items and even eight large boats will go under the hammer.
