Mallorca is full and lively in the summer months, not only on land but also in most harbours and bays. Nevertheless, even in the high season, nothing stands in the way of a quiet and relaxing sailing holiday in the waters around the Balearic island. Provided you know where you can drop anchor undisturbed in the evening.
YACHT correspondent and long-time Mallorca expert Martin Muth reveals where there are bays and anchorages that most sailors don't know about - and which are therefore rarely visited. These are ideal retreats when the well-known bays and marinas get crowded, noisy and annoying.
Martin Muth has put together a dozen such "hidden places" around the island, complete with descriptions of how to get there and tips for restaurants and other infrastructure on land. You can read the bay report in the new YACHT (issue 5/2022, available now in magazine shops and as a digital edition in the YACHT app and can be ordered directly here ).
