Jørgen was born into the boating industry and followed his father to become a captain. Today he is the proud owner of Gudem Maritime, an excursion company and dealer offering sightseeing tours on the Oslofjord. Mussels and American oyster barnacles were becoming an increasing problem on the hulls of his yachts, increasing drag and fuel consumption. To minimise the impact on the marine ecosystem, he looked for a solution with improved environmental features.

B-Free Explore from International®, launched in autumn 2022, is biocide-free and designed to protect underwater hulls in an environmentally conscious way. The advanced defence polymer technology creates an exceptionally smooth and slippery hull that prevents the adhesion of microorganisms such as mussels and slime. Attached debris can be easily removed by hand or with a water jet, ensuring long-lasting protection and easier maintenance.
