The message from 6 April 2022:
The new start at the traditional Dehler site had been unfortunate for SQ Sauerland; after around a year, the shipyard operating at the traditional site, where Dehler yachts had previously been produced for decades, had to file for liquidation. In addition to the production of the then newly designed SQ 25, attempts had been made to diversify the business through contract manufacturing of other brands (Comfortina, Biehl Marine).
What remained were the moulds of the SQ 25, a design by Marc-Oliver von Ahlen from Kappeln. In Uwe Regensdorf, the new managing director of the manufacturer MFH Maritime fibre composite technology in Emden to acquire the moulds and rights to the SQ 25. The attractive small cruiser is now being built on the North Sea coast under the new name Tide 25. The shipyard already has the dinghy cruiser-based Wadden yacht Tide 34 (YACHT test in issue 04/2012) in its programme and is currently working on the retro-classic Tide 36, the prototype of which is currently being built at Janssen & Renkhoff is being extended in Kappeln. Both are also designs by Marc-Oliver von Ahlen.
The Tide 25 is characterised by a wide range of variants. Customers can choose between different rudder, keel and rig versions, order continuous or interrupted cockpit benches, a closed or open stern and also have the option of a galley and wet room or more berths and seating below deck. There is no fixed price yet; MFH is currently projecting a base price of 50,000 euros for the slimmed-down basic version, which can be extended modularly as required.
