The Polish shipyard presented its new model at boot in Düsseldorf. The boat offers plenty of space below deck at a very favourable price

The shipyard from near Krakow has presented the Mariner 26, a new family cruiser for inland and coastal waters. The eight metre long ship celebrated its world premiere at this year's boot in Düsseldorf. From the hull to the deck to the interior, it is a completely new development. Angular shapes with steep sterns and chines create a contemporary look and add volume below deck. The shape of the windows on the superstructure and hull is new.

André Hochfeld from Yachthandel Hamburg, the German dealer, speaks of the largest boat on the market that can be trailered without any problems - in other words, no special licence is required due to excess width. Nevertheless, the Mariner 26 offers a separate wet room below deck and, if desired, even an aft cabin that can be closed by a door, which is remarkable for a boat of this size.

The 8.00 metre long and 2.55 metre wide boat is available with a ballast centreboard and a folding keel with more ballast. A sea version with a fixed keel is also available for an extra 4284 euros. The folding versions have a draught of 0.3 to 1.45 metres, while the fixed keel is 1.25 metres deep. Both versions have an identical sail area of 30.5 square metres on the wind.

At 32,130 euros ex shipyard, the Mariner 26 is very affordable. However, only the bare essentials are on board, such as antifouling (with osmosis protection 1590 euros). Some of the features shown at the trade fair, such as the partitioned aft berth (1320 euros), the seating area in the saloon (490 euros) or wall panelling (380 euros) also cost extra.
