Note: This article is an April Fool's joke.
He is the talk of the town in German school playgrounds and on social networks: Niclas M. In his spare time, the 18-year-old hunts down parking offenders and people who violate the German Road Traffic Act (StVO). According to his own information, he "earned" a total of 140,995 euros for the Federal Republic of Germany in 2023. In total, M. claims to have filed exactly 4,247 reports in 2023 via the "weg.li" app, which is also known as "Wegeheld", i.e. 11.6 reports per day.
Most recently, the "advert master" was physically attacked by football fans on the S-Bahn and had his smartphone stolen. To protect himself from reprisals like these, he announced that he now wanted to switch to the supposedly more good-natured water sports enthusiasts, at least in the summer. He has bought an inflatable boat and wants to use it to expand his activities from the road to the water. He is not only concerned with alcohol consumption on the water, but also with noise pollution. With the Deutschland-Ticket, the distance from his home near Leipzig to the sea is no problem for him.
Naturally, the "ad chief" would like to focus on the problems on the country's inland lakes. In addition to the massive consumption of alcohol, he is particularly bothered by the lack of presence of the water police. He wants to fill this supposedly lawless space by hunting down lawbreakers from land in his new "Polizfi" inflatable boat. He will use a laser measuring device to measure the speed of the boats and report speeding offences. The laser measuring device was provided to M. by a donor who also saw a need to improve order on the water.
M. would also like to install a system on the jetties along the German Baltic coast that recognises noise pollution on its own. If it is too loud on the jetty for a period of five seconds or repeatedly for a short time, the system's artificial intelligence will recognise this and notify the public order office immediately. So if you want to enjoy a balmy summer night in the cockpit in future, you'll have to watch out for the "chief ad man". He himself would also like to patrol the jetties at irregular intervals.
Did you believe it? Even though the "advert master" is currently on everyone's lips, this article is an April Fool's joke, cheers!
