The Federal Maritime and Hydrographic Agency has granted planning permission for the "Nordlicht II" offshore wind farm. The wind farm planned by Vattenfall, with 44 turbines and a total output of 660 megawatts, is due to go into operation north of Borkum by the end of 2028.
