None of the spectacular SailGP regattas comes closer to the German fans: The fourth summit of the season will take place in Copenhagen on 19 and 20 August. Once again the"Who is who" of international sailing. Championship leader Australia is the favourite with world sailor Tom Slingsby. The Kiwis, who recently won the British SailGP for the first time with Olympic champions and America's Cup dominators Peter Burling and Blair Tuke, have caught up. The Danes themselves - who recently came third in England - are also keen to get back on the podium at home

The Danes start with their Olympic stars

In green Copenhagen, with its picturesque harbour promenade and strong sailing tradition, fans in Denmark and guests can experience the adrenaline rush of the supercharged foiling F50 catamarans for the second time after Aarhus 2021. The sailing spectacle with the sport's superstars will take place in the area in front of the Oceankaj in Nordhavn. The Denmark SailGP team skippered by Nicolai Sehested and the Olympic medallists Katja Salskov-Iversen, Anne-Marie Rindom and Martin Kirketerp will be competing against nine world-class teams in their home waters. Excitement and drama are usually pre-programmed when the fleet of identical foilers flies past the spectators at speeds of up to 100 km/h. The trailer " Racing on the edge " is impressive. It was created in 2021, but still shows well what this series, which is worth one million US dollars, is all about.
