Kylian Mbappé comes on board the SailGP

In a press release issued by the SailGP organisers on 14 March, Kylian Mbappé said: "We are delighted to be joining the France SailGP team on this new adventure with Accor and other investors. I am also proud that through this partnership, IBKM has the opportunity to inspire more young people around the world."

Kylian Mbappé continued with regard to his foundation IBKM: "With Inspired By KM, I want to reach young people around the world and give them the strength to believe in their dreams. With our 'We Care for All' programme, we offer concrete support and hope to those who need it most. The international sailing racing series SailGP was founded in 2019 by five-time America's Cup winner Sir Russell Coutts and Oracle founder Larry Ellison. Twelve national teams are currently competing against each other on identical 15-metre high-speed catamarans. This season, they include the still young Germany SailGP Team, which is fighting for promotion to the World League in its second year.
