On Monday, 62 yachts set off from Helgoland to Kiel. The main field is currently rounding Skagen and sailing into the Baltic Sea in light winds

The first night brought dream conditions for the participants of the Pantaenius Round Skagen Regatta: "We had a wonderful night. Very few waves and great wind," said Hans Genthe from on board the "Ujuijui" yesterday morning. The yachts are travelling correspondingly fast. The first boats were already across from Greena at 8.00 a.m. today. The former Volvo Ocean Racer "illbruck" was in the lead with only 139 nautical miles to Kiel.

But they can be long. In light winds, the racer recently made just 1.8 knots. Just one nautical mile behind it, the Ker 51 "Varuna" was already travelling at a good three knots.

However, the main field is still sailing around Skagen this morning. Only one participant is no longer with us. The gennaker pole on the "Shakti" broke on the first night off List. Nobody was injured, but the race had to be abandoned.

The course can be followed live via Race tracker be pursued.
