Live from boot Düsseldorf 2025: YACHT editor Jochen Rieker attracts numerous visitors to his expert talk on the latest events at the Vendée Globe. In the 30th episode of YACHT - the sailing podcast Jochen Rieker is in conversation with our host Timm Kruse

A central topic of the episode is German regatta participant Boris Herrmann, who recently dropped from 12th to 13th place. Jochen Rieker explains the technical problems the Malizia skipper faced due to a damaged foil and the risks that such defects can entail during the non-stop regatta. Nevertheless, the expert praised Boris Herrmann's performance and gave an insight into his future prospects for the Vendée Globe 2028.
