Training before Lanzarote seems to have gone well. At least that's how it looks in the pictures taken by team photographer Sander van der Borch. The mood and the figures are right: 540 nautical miles in 24 hours, at an average speed of 22.5 knots. That's close to the 24-hour record for monohulls set by the Volvo Ocean 70 "Ericsson 4". It managed 596.6 nautical miles in the 2008 race.
And the training is only just beginning. Robert Stanjek comes on board in April and will fight for the last free spot in the team (we reported). But now: Impressions of the training in Lanzarote
