Abu Dhabi Ocean Racing on the verge of a stage win
Not even five nautical miles separate the four teams still fighting for the stage win. Finish today in the evening hours

Once again, it's hard to believe. After more than 6500 nautical miles, after Cyclone Pam, the Southern Ocean and Cape Horn, after dangerous manoeuvres and a mast break, the first four teams are less than five nautical miles apart just 120 nautical miles from the finish.

On the final leg to Itajai/Brazil, however, Abu Dhabi Ocean Racing had the best cards. In winds of over 22 knots, all four sailed an inland course to the finish, Abu Dhabi slightly ahead to windward.

Whether the second stage win will be possible will be decided this evening between 7.00 and 9.00 pm. The finish will again be broadcast online on the race homepage and via the app.
