On Friday, 2 January, the six teams will compete off the coast of Abu Dhabi. The race will be broadcast live on the internet

The Christmas break is over for the crews of the Volvo Ocean Race. On Friday, they will compete in their third in-port race before embarking on the third leg from Abu Dhabi to Sanya/China on Saturday.

The start is scheduled for 2.00 pm local time, i.e. 11.00 am German time. The race will be broadcast live, starting ten minutes before the start. The links to the video player will be available shortly beforehand via the website of the organiser announced.

The races in the leg harbours have no direct influence on the race classification, they are counted separately. However, if there is a tie at the end of the stage classification, as is currently the case between the Abu Dhabi Ocean Racing, Brunel and Dongfeng teams with four points each, the ranking of the in-port races will decide the winner.
