The Ericsson hunters: strongest team, two-boat campaign
Skipper Bouwe Bekking (l., NED) has been on board five times and is probably one of the most experienced - most recently on the sunken "Movistar", before that crew on Grant Dalton's "Amer Sport One". Although the Farr design was plagued by defects last time (keel torn off), he remained loyal to the constructor. Bekking: "They will make a special effort this time." In addition, the Farr office is one of the leading Open 60 designers (Barcelona Race winner "Virbac", Transat winner "Gitana"). He is determined to ride for victory and has a powerful squad of ex-"Movistar" riders and ex-"ABN Amro Two" navigator Simon Fisher (r., GBR).
