Good crew, the ship should be the weak point

The Irish team made it to the start line on the last groove, the sponsors, most of whom ultimately came from China, kept wobbling. The boat, a Reichel/Pugh design, is based on data from the Rolf Vrolijk design for the withdrawn "Mean Machine" team. However, neither of the two designers was represented with a design at the last race. There was not enough time to develop a second generation of sails and little training took place. Skipper Ian Walker (l., GBR) is an excellent helmsman (Americas Cup, TP52), but new to the offshore league. But navigator Ian Moore (r., IRL) already has one victory to his name with "illbruck".
