As always in two-boat campaigns, the second boat is considered to be technically very good, but not good enough to beat the number one. The big question mark for the team is the crew: Swedish skipper Anders Lewander (left) has never sailed around the world in a monohull and has no previous experience in Open 70s or 60s. He started out as a windsurfer, sailed skiffs and has only been sailing tall ships in smaller regattas for a few years. His 28-year-old navigator Aksel Magdahl (r., both SWE) also has little experience. The team is seen as a future investment by the Swedish sponsor in talented sailors for upcoming offshore races.
