The regatta around Fehmarn has established itself. In addition to top sailors, recreational and occasional sailors are also expected. Catamarans and sea yachts start on various courses.
The time has come next weekend. "Fehmarn Rund" is the name of the grand finale of this year's "Flens Super Sail Tour 2006". Under the motto "Taking part is everything", catamaran and tall ship sailors and surfers will compete together to complete the fastest lap around the Baltic Sea island of Fehmarn.
Around 200 boats will be sent on the circuit. Among others, the reigning world champions in the F-18 class Helge and Christian Sach as well as Jörg Gosche from Bremen have registered. A thrilling duel is guaranteed.
After a break of several years, the Fehmarn Rund has been held again since 2001 and has been making more and more friends ever since. The organisers also want to appeal to sailors who have not yet had much experience on the regatta courses.
The Prosail Welcome Party with DJ will take place in the marquee from 8 pm on Friday. On Saturday evening, after the award ceremony for the 50 nautical mile regatta, the grand finale takes place with the Flens After Sail Party and live music.
At the "Best of the Best" on Sunday in the Heiligenhafen harbour basin, the respective class winners of the long distance can then put their tactical skills to the test on pirate-class dinghies. A great event for participants and visitors alike.
